Last Witnesses at Dragicevic’s Trial Due to Testify Next Week

In the coming week the Defence of Zoran Dragicevic, who is charged with crimes in Sarajevo, is due to examine its last witnesses.

The trial is due to continue on Wednesday, September 25. Dragicevic is charged with having robbed and abused non-Serbs in Grbavica, Vraca and Kovacici neighbourhoods in Sarajevo and raped one person in the period from May 1992 to December 1994.

On that same day the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina is due to present material evidence against Zemir Kovacevic, who is charged with crimes in Bosanski Brod. Kovacevic, former member of the Interventions Squad with the First Bosanski Brod Brigade of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, is charged with having committed crimes against Serb civilians in Sijekovac village.

On Wednesday the Defence of Ivo Raguz, who is charged with crimes in Stolac and Capljina, is due to examine its first and only witness. He is on trial along with Veselko Raguz.

The continuation of the trials of Branko Vlaco, who is charged with crimes in Vogosca, and Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are indicted for genocide in Srebrenica, is scheduled for Wednesday as well.

At the trial for crimes in Kotor-Varos, which is scheduled to continue on Tuesday, September 24, the Defence of third indictee Sead Menzil will try to deny the State Prosecution’s evidence with which the Prosecution previously tried to deny the Defence’s evidence.

Menzil is charged, along with Fikret Planincic, Rasim Lisancic and Mirsad Vatrac, with crimes in Serdari village, Kotor-Varos municipality in September 1992, when 16 civilians were killed.

On that same day new witnesses are due to be examined at the trials of Oliver Krsmanovic, who is charged with crimes in Visegrad, Najdan Mladjenovic and Savo Zivkovic, who are indicted for crimes in Bratunac, and Osman Brkan and Ibro Macic, who are charged with having committed crimes near Konjic.

The trials of Savo Babic, who is charged with crimes in Bratunac, and Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Nihad Bojadzic and Zulfikar Alispago, who are charged with crimes in Trusina, near Konjic, are due to continue on Monday, September 23.

Edin Dzeko, who is charged with crimes in Trusina, and Predrag Milisavljevic, Ljubomir Tasic and Milos Pantelic, who are charged with crimes in Visegrad, are due to appear in court on that same day.

The trial of Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember, who are charged with crimes in the Hadzici area, is due to continue on Thursday, September 26.

On that same day the trials are due to continue in the case against Zoran Marinic and Zoran Milic, who are charged with crimes in Busovaca, and Zeljko Jukic for crimes in Prozor.

On Friday, September 27 the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina is due to continue presenting evidence at the trials of Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Hariz Habibovic and Osman Gogic, who are charged with crimes in Kladanj, and Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian-Nicolae Vintila, who are indicted for crimes in Sarajevo.

In the week ahead the retrials are due to continue in the case against Milan Peric, Predrag Terzic, Aleksandar Cerovina and Spasoje Doder, who are charged with crimes in Kalinovik, and Nisvet Gasal, Musajb Kukavica and Senad Dautovic, who are indicted for crimes in Bugojno.
