Appeals against Koricanske stijene Verdict to Be Presented Next Week

Under the first instance verdict, Zecevic, Knezevic and Ljepoja were sentenced to 23 years each for having committed crimes at Koricanske stijene on August 21, 1992, when nearly 200 Bosniak men were shot. Petar Civcic and Branko Topola were acquitted of all charges. The hearing is scheduled for Friday, June 7.
On Monday, June 3 the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Defence of Zeljko Ivanovic are due to present their closing statements before the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Under a first instance verdict, which was quashed by the Appellate Chamber, Ivanovic was sentenced to 13 years in prison for crimes against humanity committed in Srebrenica in July 1995.
The Defence of Zeljko Jukic, who is charged with crimes in Prozor, is due to present its evidence presentation plan at a status conference scheduled for Thursday, June 6.
On Tuesday, June 4 the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina is due to complete the presentation of material evidence against Edin Dzeko, former member of the “Zulfikar” Unit, who is charged with having participated in the shooting of civilians and captured soldiers in Trusina, near Konjic on April 16, 1993.
The trial of Savo Babic, who is charged with crimes in Bratunac, is due to continue on Monday.
One day later the trials are due to continue in the case against Oliver Krsmanovic, who is charged with crimes in Visegrad, Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic, who are indicted for crimes in Dretelj military prison, near Capljina, and Fikret Planincic, Rasim Lisancic, Sead Menzil and Mirsad Vatrac, who are charged with crimes in Serdari village, near Kotor-Varos.
Predrag Milisavljevic, Milos Pantelic and Ljubomir Tasic, who are charged with crimes against civilians from Visegrad, and Najdan Mladjenovic and Savo Zivkovic, who are indicted for crimes in Bratunac, are due to appear in court on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, June 5 the trials are due to continue in the case against Zemir Kovacevic for crimes in Sijekovac, Bosanski Brod, Branko Vlaco, who is charged with crimes in Vogosca, Ivo and Veselko Raguz, who are indicted for crimes in Stolac and Capljina, and Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are on trial for genocide in Srebrenica.
The trials of Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember, who are charged with crimes in the Hadzici area, and Nihad Bojadzic, who is indicted for crimes in Jablanica, are due to continue on Thursday.
The trial of Ramiz Avdovic and Iliuan-Nicolae Vintila for crimes in “Viktor Bubanj” military barracks in Sarajevo continues on Friday.
The retrials of Marko Adamovic and Bosko Lukic, who are charged with crimes in Kljuc, Milan Peric, Spasoje Doder, Predrag Terzic and Aleksandar Cerovina, who are indicted for crimes in Kalinovik, as well as Nisvet Gasal, Musajb Kukavica and Senad Dautovic, who are charged with crimes in Bugojno, are due to continue in the week ahead.
