Bosnia’s State Investigation and Protection Agency arrested former Croatian Defence Council fighter Bosiljko Kraljevic in Mostar on Wednesday on suspicion that he committed crimes against civilians in 1993.

The state prosecution is investigating Kraljevic on suspicion that in late October or early November 1993, he committed the crimes in the Mostar are while he was a member of the ‘Klis’ First Battalion of the Third Brigade of the Croatian Defence Council.

“At the same time, a search was conducted of his family house, of other premises and vehicles, and weapons from the last war were found, as well as some military documentation and other evidence related to the war period,” the prosecution said in a statement.

In a separate case on Wednesday, the State Investigation and Protection Agency arrested a former Bosnian Army soldier in the Sarajevo area on suspicion that he committed war crimes against Serb victims in the capital in 1992.

The prosecution said that the identity of the suspect will not be disclosed in the interest of the investigation.

Both suspects will be handed over to the prosecution.
