Suspects Vide and Josip Kresic, former members of the Croatian Defense Council (HVO), have been charged with torturing one of four Bosniak detainees who were held in the Kostana hospital in Stolac.

According to a state prosecution statement, Vide and Josip Kresic ordered others to carry out the torture of the victim. They had the victim connected to an electricity source and electrocuted him. The victim lost consciousness and died a few days later.

The state prosecution has also charged Vide and Josip Kresic with crimes against the civilian population.

The indictment has been filed with the state court for confirmation.
