Boris Bosnjak, Milos Mavrak, Miodrag Grubacic and Ilija Djajic have been charged with persecuting the Bosniak, Croat and other non-Serb population from May to August 1992.
They allegedly participated in the daily assault of detainees held in the former Mosa Pijade military barracks in Bileca and allowed others to enter the facility and beat the detainees. The indictment alleges the civilians were brought to Bileca from Mostar, Gacko, Nevesine, Bileca and Stolac.
“Four detainees died due to the consequences of their inhumane treatment, the aforementioned conditions and lack of medical assistance,” the state prosecution previously announced.
Bosnjak was a member of the 7th Battalion of the military police of the Bosnian Serb Army and also was a guard commander. The three other defendants were members of the Bosnian Serb Army and guards in the Bileca detention camp.
