First Witness at Popovic Trial Appears Next Week

On Wednesday, September 23, the first state prosecution witness is expected to testify at the trial of Jovan Popovic, who has been charged with crimes committed in the Visegrad area in the summer of 1992.

On Monday, September 21, Zulfikar Alispago will appear in court. Alispago has been charged with war crimes in the village of Trusina in the municipality of Konjic. He was on trial with Nihad Bojadzic, Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin and Senad Hakalovic, but his case was separated due to his poor health.

On Monday, September 21, a status conference will be held for war crimes committed in Kotor-Varos. The defendants are Savo Tepic, Dragoslav Bojic, Dusko Vujicic, Dusko Maksimovic, Radojko Keverovic and Ilija Kurusic.

On Tuesday, September 22, the defense of Ilija Glavas and Martin Barukcic will present their final pieces of evidence. Glavas and Barukcic are on trial with Pavo Glavas and Marijan Brnjic for crimes in the Odzak area.

Trials for crimes committed in Odzak, Zvornik, Sanski Most, Bihac, Trnovo, Srebrenik, Kozarac, Rogatica, Cajnice and Prozor will also continue before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina next week.
