Golubovic and Bozic, both former members of the military police of the 102nd Odzacka Brigade of the Croatian Defense Council, have been charged with the inhumane treatment of Serb civilians who were unlawfully detained in buildings in the territory of Odzak and Bosanski Brod.

The state prosecution alleges that Golubic, a manager of prison facilities, and Bozic, a prison guard, aided and abetted the severe physical and mental pain and suffering of detained civilians. The defendants have also been charged with physical abuse, leading to the death of some detainees. Their alleged crimes took place from May-November 1992.

The indictment was filed in December last year, when it was announced that the two defendants could not be reached and had Croatian citizenship.

The Bosnian state court confirmed the indictment in January 2015.
