According to the charges, Krsmanovic went to the village of Pediste in the municipality of Sokolac on July 7, 1992. He was accompanied with another member of the Bosnian Serb Army. They went to a location where a Bosniak civilian from the Rogatica area was captured. They robbed him and drove him towards the public safety station in Sokolac.

The Bosnian state prosecution alleges that Krsmanovic and the other Bosnian Serb Army soldier beat the captive, and took him outside with the intention of killing him. They decided not to kill the captive, but caused him severe mental and bodily injury.

The captured civilian was then handed over to policemen and transferred to the Rasadnik detention camp in Rogatica, where he suffered severe mental and bodily injury along with other Bosniak detainees.

Earlier in March Krsmanovic plead not guilty.
