Verdict against Savo Babic Expected Next Week

Next week the Bosnian state court will hand down a verdict at the retrial of Savo Babic, who is charged with crimes in Bratunac. The pronouncement of the verdict is scheduled for Thursday, March 12.

On Thursday, March 12, a pretrial conference will be held for the Veselko and Ivo Raguz case. Veselko and Ivo Raguz were acquitted last year on charges of committing crimes in Stolac. A pretrial conference will also be held in the case of Miodrag Josipovic and Branimir Tesic, who are charged with committing crimes in the Bratunac area.

On Monday, March 9, a pretrial status conference will be held in the case of Drago Samardzija. Samardzija is charged with committing crimes in Kljuc.

On Tuesday, March 10, Milenko Krsmanovic will enter his plea. Krsmanovic is accused of committing crimes in Sokolac.

On Tuesday, March 10, the defense of Marina Grubisic-Fejzic will present its closing statement. Grubisic-Fejzic is charged with committing crimes in the Capljina area, along with Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Ivan Medic, and Edib Buljubasic.

On Monday, March 9, the defense will present its closing statements at the trial of Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic, and Nihad Bojadzic. The defendants are charged with committing crimes in the village of Trusina.

On Monday, March 9, the trials of Goran Saric, Petar Kovacevic, and Zaim Lalicic will continue. Saric is charged with genocide in Srebrenica, Kovacevic is charged with committing crimes in Visegrad, and Lalicic is charged with committing crimes in Hrasnica, near Sarajevo.

On Tuesday, March 10, new prosecution witnesses will be examined at the trial of Enes Curic, Ibrahim Demirovic, Samir Kreso, Habib Copelj and Mehmed Kaminic. The defendants are charged with committing crimes in Mostar. New prosecution witnesses will also be examined at the trials of Ekrem Ibracevic, Faruk Smajlovic, and Sejdalija Covic, who have been indicted for crimes in Srebrenik.

On Tuesday, March 10, the Aleksander Cvektovic trial will continue. Cvektovic is charged with committing genocide in Srebrenica.

The trial of Goran Vujovic, Miroslav Duka and Zeljko Ilic will also continue on Tuesday, March 10. The defendants are accused of committing crimes in Bileca.

The trial of Marijan Brnjic, Martin Barukcic and Pavo and Ilija Glavas, accused of committing crimes in Odzak will also continue on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, March 11, the defense will continue presenting evidence at the trial of Goran Popovic, who is charged with crimes in Visegrad; Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, accused of genocide in Srebrenica; as well as Marinko Bjelica, Zoran Bjelica and Novica Tripkovic, who are charged with crimes in Kalinovik.

On Wednesday, March 11, new prosecution witnesses will be examined at the trials of Mato Condric, who was indicted for crimes in Brod; and Gligor Begovic, who was indicted for crimes in Bijeljina.

On Thursday, March 12, the prosecution will continue presenting material evidence at the trial of Mustafa Djelilovic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic, Mirsad Sabic, Fadil Covic, Nezir Kazic, and Nermin Kalember.

On Thursday, March 12, a new prosecution witness will be examined at the trial of Dragan Marjanovic, Sasa Gavranovic, Vitomir Devic, Zoran Sljuk, Dragomir Kezunovic, and Dario Slavuljica, who are charged with crimes in Teslic.

The following trials will continue on Friday, March 13: the trial of Ibro Macic, who is charged with crimes in Konjic; the trial of Pero Radisic, who is charged with crimes in Teslic; and the trial of Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Zijad Hamzic, Nusret Muhic, Osman Gogic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic and Kahro Vejzovic, who are charged with crimes in Kladanj.

On Friday, March 13, the presentation of evidence will continue in the case of Mitar and Rade Vlasenko and Rade Koncar, who are charged with crimes in Prijedor; as well as at the trial of Stevo Jovanovic, Milosav Jovanovic, Marijan Jovanovic and Slavko Jovanovic, who are charged with crimes in Cajnice.
