The defendants in the case are Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic, and Nermin Kalember. All of the defendants are on trial for crimes they allegedly committed at the Silos detention camp, as well as the detention camps located at the Krupa military barracks and the 9 Maj school building.

According to the charges, at the time Mustafa Djelilovic was president of the municipal assembly, president of the crisis committee, and wartime president of Hadzici.

Becir Hujic is charged in his capacity as a former manager and deputy manager of the Silos detention camp. Halid Covic performed the same functions as Hujic.

Serif Mesanovic was one of the deputy managers of the Silos detention camp and also the manager of the detention camp at the Krupa military barracks. Nermin Kalember was a guard at the Silos detention camp. The other defendants were members of civil and police authorities.

Prosecutor Zorica Djurdjevic did not explain the contents of the medical documentation she presented at today’s hearing, on the grounds that the documentation was voluminous.

The defense of Mustafa Djelilovic and Halid Covic objected, on the grounds that the medical documentation had not been presented to the witnesses mentioned in it.

“Witness Goran Golub testified before this court, but this document was not presented to him,” said Edina Residovic, Djelilovic’s defense attorney.

The prosecution included a total of 63 pieces of evidence in the case file. Some of them refer to activities of the International Committee of Red Cross.

The prosecution did not explain the content of this evidence either. The defense teams objected, and said that the documents had not been presented to the relevant witnesses.

“This organization is not obliged to testify before any court, but it submits its observations to competent authorities. Considering the fact that we had competent authorities here, the prosecutor failed to discuss the content of these documents with them,” Residovic said.

The presentation of the prosecution’s evidence was interrupted due to the trial chamber’s other commitments. The trial will continue on March 12.
