Fundup, a former Bosnian Serb fighter, is charged with crimes he allegedly committed against civilians in the Foca area in 1992.

During today’s status conference, state court judge Halil Lagumdzija said that March 3 was a preliminary start date. He said that the official date would be announced at a later stage, due to the trial chamber’s other commitments.

The state prosecution said it planned to examine three injured parties, ten witnesses, and one medical court expert. The prosecution also said it would present 127 pieces of material evidence.

Defense attorney Slavisa Prodanovic said that he would not question the event itself, but whether the prosecution had correctly identified his client as the perpetrator.

Fundup, a former member of the First Focanska Light Infantry Brigade of the Army of Republika Srpska, is charged with having participated in the murder and mental abuse of several Bosniak civilians in the Foca area from April-June 1992.
