The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed its indictment against Fundup on January 7. Fundup, a former member of the First Focanska Light Infantry Brigade of the Republika Srpska Army, is charged with the murder and mental abuse of several Bosnian civilians in the Foca area between April-June 1992.

According to the prosecution, Fundup, who was accompanied by two other soldiers, killed seven persons – two children and five women, by shooting them with an automatic gun in the village of Cohodar Mahala in June 1992.

Fundup has also been charged with having taken three Bosnians, including two minors, from a house in Gornje Polje to a location known as Spila, near the Drina river. He was accompanied with another soldier. They lined up the three victims and then cocked their guns, keeping them pointed towards them.

Fundup surrendered himself on December 11, 2014. He has been held in custody since.
