The Defemce of Ibro Macic, who is on trial for crimes against prisoners in Konjic, proposed the examination of the defendant’s health.

At a status conference, the Defence told the Trial chamber that they received documentation regarding Macic’s health from the Federal ministry of defence, but that they would still like him to be medically examined.

“We will ask that a neuropsychiatrist examines him and I need 15 days for this”, said Macic’s lawyer Fadil Abaz.

Macic, a former member of the Bosnian Army, is charged with having tortured and abused prisoners in the Musala Elementary School from April to October 1993 and with killing four women in Blaca.

The Bosnian prosecution said they only plan to call one additional witness, after the Defence finished their evidence.

The trial will resume on January 30.
