Remembering a Soldier with Long Blonde Hair

Izet Hodzurda said that the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, forces attacked Behric village, Kiseljak municipality, and that he was in a trench with Ramo Hatidzic.  

According to his testimony, after having left the trench Hatidzic was captured, along with Vahid Klisura. The witness said that, when he withdrew to the upper part of the village, he saw a soldier with long blonde hair, adding that he thought that it was Miroslav Skoro.

“I heard Hatidzic’s and Klisura’s voices. After having been captured, they begged them not to hit them and beat them,” the witness said. 

Responding to questions by Prosecutor Sanja Hodzic, he said that he did not see the face of the soldier with long blonde hair, but, while being cross-examined by Branka Praljak, Defence attorney of indictee Miroslav Skoro, he said that he did see the face for a brief moment and that it was Miroslav Skoro.

After the Defence attorney pointed to his incomplete allegations and presented him with his statement given to police, the witness repeated that he saw the first indictee for a moment.

Indictee Skoro asked the witness why he did not shoot at him, considering that he was thirty metres away, as he said. Witness Hodzurda said that he kept quiet and that he did not want to shoot because he did not want to be captured.

Miroslav Skoro, Dalibor Milos, Bosiljko Dilber and Ljubomir Dilber, former members of HVO, are charged with having tortured Ramo Hatidzic and tortured and killed Vahid Klisura.

Witness Edin Konjicija said that he did not know any of the indictees and that he heard about indictee Skoro from his father-in-law.
