On October 6 the State Prosecution requested the Court to order Sekaric into custody, because he travelled to Serbia and met witnesses, and that he sent threats to protected witnesses S-2 and S-4 in the Gorazde area.

“The Court ordered the custody measures due to existence of circumstances indicating that there is a danger that he might flee and specific circumstances, indicating that he will interfere with the criminal proceedings by influencing witnesses,” the Court said in its announcement.

Sekaric, former member of the Territorial Defence and “Osvetnik” (“Avenger”) paramilitary formation, is charged with having participated in an attack on Lozje village, Gorazde municipality, as well as the murders, rape and physical abuse of non-Serb civilians in Visegrad.

The trial of Sekaric began in March. At the beginning of the year the Court of BiH ordered prohibiting measures against him, including a ban on contacting witnesses and leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina.
