Popic’s Plea Hearing Next Week

Vitomir Popic, who is charged with crimes in Gacko in 1992, is due to enter his plea before the State Court in the week ahead.

Popic, former Commander of the Police Station with the Public Safety Station in Gacko, is due to enter his plea on Wednesday, September 3.

On that same day a status conference is due to be held at which the Defence of Hariz Habibovic, who is on trial for crimes in Kladanj, is due to present its evidence presentation plan.

On Tuesday, September 2 the State Prosecution is due to begin presenting evidence at the trial of Bosiljko and Ostoja Markovic, former members of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, who are charged with having raped a minor girl.

On that same day the Defence of Milos Pantelic, who is charged, along with Predrag Milisavljevic and Ljubomir Tasic, will present its closing statement at the trial for crimes in Visegrad.

A new check of the health condition of Vinko Kondic, whose trial for crimes in Kljuc was interrupted when he got Parkinson’s disease, is scheduled for Monday. On that same day prohibiting measures will be considered in the case against Milos Zekic, who is suspected of crimes in Sekovici.

The trial of Goran Saric, who is charged with genocide in Srebrenica, is scheduled for Monday. Saric is due to appear before the Appellate Chamber on Wednesday, when a status conference will be held prior to the retrial for crimes in Nahorevo neighbourhood, Sarajevo.

The trial of Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Nedzad Hodzic, Senad Hakalovic and Nihad Bojadzic, who are charged with crimes in Trusina, is due to continue on Monday, while Oliver Krsmanovic, who is charged with crimes in Visegrad, and Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian-Nicolae Vintila, who are indicted for crimes in Sarajevo, are due to appear in court one day later.

The trial for crimes in Dretelj detention camp, which are charged upon Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic, is due to continue on Tuesday, September 2.

On Wednesday the State Prosecution will continue presenting evidence at the trials of Vitomir Rackovic, who is charged with crimes in Visegrad, Goran Popovic, who is on trial for crimes in Uzamnica detention camp, as well as Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic for genocide in Srebrenica. On that same day the trial is due to continue in the case against Marinko and Zoran Bjelica, as well as Novica Tripkovic, for crimes in Kalinovik.

On Thursday, September 4 new Prosecution witnesses are due to be examined at the trials of Indira Kameric, who is charged with crimes in Bosanski Brod, Nikola Maric, who is indicted for murders and other crimes in Prozor, as well as Nedzad Hodzic and Dzevad Salcin, who are charged with crimes on Mount Igman.

Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember, who are charged with crimes in Hadzici, are due to appear before judges on Thursday. One day later the trials are due to continue in the case against Ibro Macic for crimes in Konjic and Josip Tolic for crimes in Odzak and Bosanski Brod.

On Friday the trials are due to continue in the case against Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Zijad Hamzic, Nusret Muhic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Osman Gogic and Kahro Vejzovic, who are charged with crimes in Kladanj, and Dragan Sekaric, who is indicted for crimes in Visegrad.

On that same day pre-trial status conferences are due to be held in the case against Jasmin Coloman, who is charged with crimes in Vitez, and Edhem Godinjak, Medaris Saric and Mirko Bunoza for crimes in Trnovo.

In the week ahead the retrial is due to continue in the case against Mehura Selimovic, Adil Ruznic and Emir Mustafic, who are charged with crimes in Bosanska Krajina.
