Witness Semir Halilovic said that at the beginning of July 1993, after his mother was killed, he was living in the Headquarters of the Bosnian Army in Sarajevo together with his father Sefer Halilovic.

He said that he heard at the end of July in 1993 that there was shooting in Sarajevo and that Nihad Bojadzic came to the HQ with several soldiers a couple of hours later. He told them he participated in the shooting.

“As they said, they were with Ramiz Delalic when some of his rivals fired at him. I remember they drove a car that was completely riddled with bullet marks,” Halilovic said.

Defence showed Sarajevo police report on the incident with photos, which was made on August 1, 1993 and Halilovic recognized the photo of the damaged car.

Halilovic said that he and his father went in patrol on the ground in Herzegovina in September and October, and that he saw Bojadzic in Jablanica. He said that Bojadzic had black beard.

Bojadzic is charged with committing crimes against Croats detained in the ‘Bitka na Neretvi’ Museum in Jablanica on July 28 in 1993. He is also charged with other crimes committed in Jablanica in 1993.

Safet Baltic testified as defence witness and said that he was in charge of the cash register in the Bosnian Army’s Headquarters in 1993. He said that he was giving money to the unit commanders, when he was ordered to from his superiors.

The Defence presented the document that shows that Bojadzic was given money and gun, and the witness confirmed his signature was on the document as well as the date July 28, 1993, when he met the defendant in Sarajevo.

“I remember that we went to the restaurant for a lunch and juice the next day and I remember that, because it was the first time from the beginning of the war that I had steak,” Baltic said.

Fikret Fakic, another defence witness and former military policeman of the Bosnian Army’s Headquarters, said that he met Bojadzic in Sarajevo in the summer of 1993.

“I remember that I had a knife Nihad liked and he wanted to buy it, but I gave him as a present. He said it was his good day, because he got a gun from Halilovic and a knife from me,” Fakic said.

The trial continues on September 11.
