Verdict against Edin Dzeko Due Next Week

In the week ahead the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is due to pronounce a first instance verdict against Edin Dzeko, who is charged with crimes in Trusina village, near Konjic and Jablanica.

The pronouncement of the verdict against Dzeko, who is charged with murder of Croats in Trusina on April 16, 1993, as well as crimes against Croat civilians and prisoners in Jablanica, is scheduled for Friday, June 6.

On that same day the parties will present their closing statements at the trial of Branko Vlaco, who is indicted for crimes in the Vogosca area.  

On Monday, June 2 the first State Prosecution witness is due to testify at the trial of seven indictees, who are charged with crimes in Kotor-Varos. The indictment alleges that Savo Tepic, Dragoslav Bojic, Dusko Vujicic, Dusko Maksimovic, Radojko Keverovic, Rado Skoric and Ilija Kurusic committed the persecution of Bosniaks and Croats in the Kotor-Varos area in May 1992.

The trials of Nikola Maric, who is charged with crimes in Prozor, as well as Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are indicted for genocide in Srebrenica, are due to continue on Monday. 

The continuation of the trial of Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Ivan Medic, Edib Buljubasic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic is scheduled for Tuesday, June 3. One day later three new Prosecution witnesses are due to be examined at the trial of Vitomir Rackovic, who is charged with crimes in Visegrad. 

On Thursday, June 5 the trials are due to continue in the case against Dzevad Salcin and Nedzad Hodzic, who are charged with crimes on Mount Igman, Indira Kameric, who is charged with crimes in Bosanski Brod, as well as Goran Vujovic and Miroslav Duka, who are indicted for crimes in Bileca. 

On that same day new witnesses are due to be examined at the trial of Nihad Bojadzic, who is charged with crimes in Jablanica, as well as Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember, who are charged with crimes in the Hadzici area. 

On Friday next week new witnesses are due to be examined at the trials of Josip Toli, who is charged with crimes in Bosanski Brod and Odzak, Vehid Subotic for crimes in Zenica, as well as Marinko and Zoran Bjelica and Novica Tripkovic for crimes in Kalinovik. 

The retrial of Mehura Selimovic, Adil Ruznic and Emir Mustafic, who are charged with crimes in Krajina, continues before the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina next week.
