U nastavku suđenja za zločine počinjene u Višegradu, Sudsko vijeće je saslušalo Ferida Spahića, koji je potvrdio da se na tri izjave nalazi njegov potpis.
During the continuation of the trial for crimes in Visegrad the Trial
Chamber examines Ferid Spahic, who confirms that three statements
presented to him contained his signature.
Trial Chamber Chairman Vesna Jesenkovic presented Spahic with three statements, two of which were made in 1992, while the third one referred to identification of people from photographs in 2002. The witness confirmed that he signed all three documents.
The Prosecution of BiH charges Predrag Milisavljevic and Milos Pantelic with having participated in the murder of several tens of Bosniaks near the Paklenik pit, Sokolac municipality. The two indictees and Ljubomir Tasic are also charged with having participated in forced resettlement of more than 500 Bosniak civilians from the Visegrad area.
According to the charges, Milisavljevic and Pantelic were reserve policemen in Visegrad, while Tasic was a member of the VRS.
Testifying before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in December 2012, Spahic, who survived the shooting near the Paklenik pit, said that Predrag Milisavljevic was one of the executors.
Spahic’s statements were not read in the courtroom, but the Trial Chamber told the Prosecution of BiH and Defence teams to submit proposals of additional pieces of evidence in the next seven days.
Judge Jesenkovic said that, if they wanted the Defence teams could invite witness Spahic again in order to examine him about those statements.
The trial is due to continue on May 27.
