Prosecutor Sedin Idrizovic said that his colleague Vesna Budimir, who represents the indictment against Bojadzic, confirmed to him that she wanted to give up on examining the remaining witnesses.
The Prosecutor then included, in the case file, the remaining pieces of State Prosecutions material evidence, including medical documentation related to a few witnesses, who were detained in The Battle of Neretva Museum in Jablanica and Rogica houses complex in Donja Jablanica in 1993.
Bojadzic, former Deputy Commander of Zulfikar Squad with the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is charged with having tortured, sexually abused and raped Croat detainees, who were held in the Museum and Rogica houses, during 1993.
At the end of the hearing Bojadzics Defence attorney Vasvija Vidovic informed the Trial Chamber that the Defence had difficulties accessing the Bosnia and Herzegovina archives, which were under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defence.
Everything was done to reduce the time we had for reviewing the documents during the course of our four-day inspection of the files, she said, requesting the Trial Chamber to issue a warrant, allowing the Defence to continue reviewing the documents.
Vidovic said that some crucial documents to the benefit of Bojadzic had been found.
The trial is due to continue on May 8, when the Defence will express its opinion about the Prosecutions material evidence and present its evidence presentation plan.
