The presentation of evidence at the trial of Zoran Dragicevic, who is charged with crimes in Sarajevo, has been completed with introduction of Defence’s material evidence. Closing statements are due to be presented on October 23.

The Defence of indictee Dragicevic included 15 pieces of evidence in the case file. One of them was a statement given by rape victim A-1 immediately after the conflict in 1995.

“Here you can see her first testimony about the events, which are related to my client,” Defence attorney Dusko Tomic said.

Zoran Dragicevic is charged with having abused the non-Serb population in the Grbavica, Vraca and Kovacici neighbourhoods, Sarajevo, and having raped one person from May 1992 to December 1994.

Material evidence about indictee’s military engagement was presented as well. The mentioned document indicates that Dragicevic served with “the Battalion Command” from April 4 to December 31, 1992 and worked as a driver with a military unit in Lukavica from September 12 to November 16, 1993.

“Therefore, he was not member of the ‘Beli andjeli’,” Tomic said.

The Prosecution objected to relevance of nine pieces of material evidence.
