Appeals to Be Presented Next Week

In the coming week the State Prosecution is due to present its appeal, before the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, against a verdict under which Dragan Neskovic and Zoran Ilic were acquitted of charges for crimes in Srebrenica in 1995.

The presentation of appeals against the verdict under which Neskovic and Ilic, former members of the Jahorina Training Center with the Special Brigade of Republika Srpska police, were acquitted of charges for participation in the capture of Bosniaks and taking them to the Agricultural Cooperative in Kravica, near Bratunac, where about 1,000 of them were killed, is scheduled for Friday, September 13.
 
On Tuesday, September 10 the Defence of Ljubomir Tasic, who is charged with crimes in Visegrad, is due to begin presenting evidence by examining its first witness. Tasic is charged, along with Predrag Milisavljevic and Milos Pantelic, with having participated in the persecution and other crimes committed during 1992 and 1993.
 
On that same day the Defence of Oliver Krsmanovic, who is charged with crimes in Visegrad, is due to examine Zeljko Lelek as its witness. The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sentenced Lelek to 16 years in prison for committing crimes in that town.
 
Savo Babic, former Commander of military police with the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, who is charged with crimes in Bratunac, and Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Nihad Bojadzic and Zulfikar Alispago, who are charged with murders in Trusina, near Konjic, are due to appear in court on Monday, September 9. 
 
On Tuesday the State Prosecution is due to continue presenting evidence against Fikret Planincic, Rasim Lisancic, Sead Menzil and Mirsad Vatrac, former members of the Territorial Defence in Kotor-Varos, who are charged with having killed 16 Serb civilians. The trial of Najdan Mladjenovic and Savo Zivkovic for crimes in Bratunac is due to continue that same day.
 
The trials of Branko Vlaco for crimes in Vogosca, Veselko and Ivo Raguz for crimes in Stolac and Capljina, Zemir Kovacevic for crimes in Bosanski Brod, as well as Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are charged with crimes in Srebrenica, are due to continue on Wednesday, September 11.
 
A new State Prosecution witness is due to testify at the trial of Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember, who are charged with crimes in the Hadzici area, on Thursday, September 12. The trial of Zoran Marinic and Zoran Milic for murders in Busovaca is scheduled to continue that same day.
 
On Friday the State Prosecution will continue presenting evidence against Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nusret Muhic, Nedzad Hodzic, Hariz Habibovic, Osman Gogic and Kahro Vejzovic, who are on trial for crimes against Serb civilians in Kladanj.
 
The retrial of Milan Peric, Predrag Terzic, Aleksandar Cerovina and Spasoje Doder, who are charged with crimes in Kalinovik, is due to continue on Tuesday next week.
