“Witness M will testify in presence of public, but the content of his testimony must not be made public,” said Davorin Jukic, Chairman of the Trial Chamber with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Zemir Kovacevic, former member of the Interventions Squad with the First Bosanski Brod Brigade, which turned into the 101st Bosanski Brod Brigade of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO later on, is charged with having committed crimes against Serb civilians in Sijekovac village, acting in collaboration with unidentified members of the Croatian Defence Forces, HOS and Croatian Army, HV.

The indictment alleges that Kovacevic participated in an attack on Sijekovac village and that, acting in collaboration with other individuals, he took 15 Serb adults and four children from their houses into a courtyard. Some of those civilians were killed.

The trial is due to continue on February 27.
