Trial Chamber Chairwoman Minka Kreho explained that Marko Raguz, Defence attorney of indictee Ivo Raguz, informed the Court that he was not able to attend the hearing due to death of a close person. It was originally planned that two State Prosecution witnesses would be examined at this hearing.

According to the charges, Veselko Raguz ordered, assisted or participated in the unlawful arrests and detention of civilians and resettlement of Bosniak women and children, while Ivo Raguz is charged with the physical abuse of civilians.

The indictment alleges that Veselko Raguz was Commander of the Fourth Battalion with the “Knez Domagoj” Brigade of the HVO and Ivo Raguz was its member.

The trial is due to continue on September 26.
