Presenting the report, Tuco said that a total of 1,076 persons who have been exhumed in various areas, and are linked to the killings in the Agricultural Co-operative in Kravica, have been identified.

“All cases were brought in connection with the settlement of Kravica, where the killings have happened”, Tuco said, adding that pieces of the facade for which it is determined to have belonged to the facility in Kravica were found in the graves.

Expert Tuco, who has participated in the exhumation of more than 15,000 identified bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina so far, presented the third supplementary report at the trial of Bozidar Kuvelja, a former member of the Jahorina Training Centre with the Special Brigade of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (MUP RS).

Kuvelja is charged with having participated in the execution of about 100 detained Bosniaks, who were fraudulently invited to come out from warehouse for the provision of medical assistance.

According to the indictment of the State Prosecution, members of the Jahorina Training Centre fired bursts of gunfire into prisoners in front of the Farming Co-operative in Kravica, while indicte Kuvelja was exercised with “checking” every man by firing from a machine gun, in order to make sure whether or not he was still alive.

Prosecutor Ibro Bulic asked the expert to clarify what identification number, which was placed during the excavation of the tomb, means.

“This is a number which stands there until we get the name and surname of the person found, but also on all documents later, such as the DNA finding and the death certificate still have that number, because in this way the safety of the case is ensured”, explained the expert.

The continuation of the trial is scheduled for January 17.M.B.
