By order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, SIPA, carried out arrests and searches in police stations and buildings of the municipalities of Konjic and Jablanica.

Maksumic, Hindic and Ibrovic will be handed over to the State Prosecution, who will examine them and then make a decision for the initiation of proposal for custody.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina ordered to bring from custody Nihad Bojadzic, former Deputy Commander of the Special Purposes Squad with the Main Command Headquarters of Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ABiH), who is currently on trial for crimes in the village of Trusina (Konjic municipality) in 1993.

Suspects are under investigation by the State Prosecution, under suspicion that they participated in the abuse and torture of several detainees of Croat ethnicity and members of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) in the area of Jablanica municipality in 1993, which were previously detained in detention camp in the Museum of the Revolution in Jablanica.

Enes Maksumic, called “Cadjo” and Azem Ibrovic were employed as police officers in Jablanica police station, within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (MUP HNK).

Upon the request of the State Prosecution, and by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, searches are carried out on eight locations, including police stations in Jablanica, Konjic and Glavaticevo, and in the buildings of the municipalities of Konjic and Jablanica.D.Dz.
