The statements given by Miladin Trivic, Miroljub Vujasinovic and Radenko Kerezovic to the Safety Services Center in Banja Luka on July 8, 1993 will not be read at the trial because, as the Court said, the indictees objected to the request.Only the indictees can request that these statements be read. They are against this proposal, so the Prosecution’s motion is rejected, Trial Chamber Chairwoman Olga Malesevic said.The District Prosecution in Banja Luka charges Trivic and Vujasinovic, who were accompanied by Goran Popovic, with having robbed Stjepan Pisaric in Banja Luka on January 1, 1993.Goran Popovic and Vinko Tesanovic were originally charged with having participated in the crimes together with Trivic, Vujasinovic and Kerezovic, but the District Court in Banja Luka separated the cases in mid September 2010.Among other things, the indictment alleges that Vujasinovic participated in the murder of Mr. Hodzic and his wife in Vrbanja, while Kerezovic is charged with having participated, together with Trivic, in robbing several Muslim families in Vrbanja settlement.At this hearing Gojko Vukotic, Defence attorney for Vujasinovic, proposed to the Court the examination of Fatima Mujtanovic as a witness because, he said, she was familiar with the crimes committed in Vrbanja in 1993.The Banja Luka District Prosecution objected to the proposal made by Vujasinovic’s Defence, but the Trial Chamber accepted it.The trial is due to continue on December 8, 2010.G.O.
