The State Parliament adopted revisions to the criminal law of Bosnia and Herzegovina related to torture, forcible disappearances and wartime rape, harmonizing it with international laws.
The United Nations Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, CEDAW, recommends to Bosnia and Herzegovina to reclassify sexual violence crimes into war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The representatives of authorities and prosecutions, as well as victims, regard that certain progress has been made in processing of war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but victims, who testify at those trials, still do not receive adequate support.
