Proceedings against Marinko Sunjic, a former Croatian Defence Council fighter who was on trial for the illegal detention, persecution and abuse of Bosniak civilian prisoners in Mostar in 1992 and 1993, were halted because of his death.
Eleven former members of the Croatian Defence Council will stand trial for crimes against humanity for illegally detaining Bosniaks in inhumane conditions in Mostar in 1993 and 1994.
The Bosnian state court on Thursday confirmed the indictment charging the 11 former Croatian Defence Council members - Nedzad Coric, Jure Kordic, Drazen Lovric, Dario Susac, Nedzad Tinjak, Nuhan Sikalo, Dario Mihalj, Stanko Skobic, Tomislav Ancic, Marinko Sunjic and Slavko Golemac - with crimes against humanity.
