According to the charges, Acimovic and another soldier participated in the murder of the men who had been brought by bus from a prison located behind the court building in Vlasenica.

“The defendant is charged with having shot the victims with firearms while they were standing just a few metres away from the bus,” the prosecution said in a statement.

“The victims’ bodies were found and exhumed in 2000, at the same location at which they were shot,” it added.

The indictment did not say whether Acimovic was a member of the Bosnian Serb Army or not.

She has citizenship of both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, where she currently lives.
