Juric, former member of the 102nd Brigade of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, is charged, under the unconfirmed indictment, with having raped and sexually abused a Serb female in a house in Posavska Mahala, Odzak municipality, on the night of June 4/5, 1992.
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, alleges that, in July 1992 Juric, who was accompanied by other soldiers, intercepted and mistreated two Serb women, who were on their way, together with their children, to a school in Odzak in order to visit their husbands, who were detained in that building.
“He tortured them by hitting them first. After that he grabbed one of the children by his head and began banging him against the concrete pole in the close vicinity of the school building. He then repeated the same action with the second child’s head,” the unconfirmed indictment alleges.
Juric is defending himself while at liberty under prohibiting measures, including a ban on leaving his place of residence.
The indictment has been filed with the Court of BiH for confirmation.
