Considering the fact that Vujovic and Duka pleaded not guilty, their trial is due to begin in the upcoming period.
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges Vujovic, former Chief of the Public Safety Station in Bileca, and Duka, former Commander of police, with having participated in a joint criminal enterprise aimed at persecuting the non-Serb population from Bileca from June to December 1992.
The indictment alleges that Bosniak and Croat civilians were detained in detention camps in the Public Safety Station building and Pupils’ Hostel in Bileca, where they were mistreated. The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina alleges that the indictees fully supported and encouraged the commission of crimes.
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the indictment against Vujovic and Duka, charging them with crimes against humanity, on December 27.
The indictees are defending themselves while at liberty.
