Appeals against Basic and Sijak Verdicts Due Next Week

In January this year Basic and Sijak were pronounced guilty of having raped two Croat females in a prison in Vares on January 25, 1994. The presentation of appeals is scheduled for Thursday, October 31.
At the retrial of Marko Adamovic and Bosko Lukic, who are charged with crimes in Kljuc municipality, which is scheduled to continue on Monday, October 28 and Tuesday, October 29, the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Defence are due to present their closing statements. Under the first instance verdict, Adamovic and Lukic were acquitted of charges.
The Defence of Zoran Dragicevic, who is charged with crimes in the Grbavica neighbourhood, Sarajevo, is due to present its closing statement on Wednesday, October 30.
The trial of Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Nihad Bojadzic and Zulfikar Alispago, who are charged with crimes in Trusina, near Konjic, is due to continue on Monday. On that same day the trial is due to continue in the case against Dragomir Soldat, Velemir Djuric and Zoran Babic, who are charged with crimes in the Prijedor area.
On Monday a hearing will take place in the case against Petar Kovacevic, but neither the Court nor the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina wanted to say who Kovacevic was and why the hearing was scheduled.
During the continuation of the trial of Savo Babic, who is charged with crimes in Bratunac, the Prosecution plans to complete the presentation of evidence. The trial is due to continue on Monday and Tuesday. At the trial of Predrag Milisavljevic, Milos Pantelic and Ljubomir Tasic, who are charged with crimes in Visegrad, new Defence witnesses are due to be examined on Tuesday.
On that same day the trials are due to continue in the case against Najdan Mladjenovic and Savo Zivkovic for crimes in Bratunac, Edin Dzeko for crimes in Trusina and Jablanica, as well as Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic, who are charged with crimes in Dretelj.
Veselko and Ivo Raguz, who are charged with crimes in Stolac and Capljina, Branko Vlaco, who is indicted for crimes in Vogosca, and Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are on trial for genocide in Srebrenica, are due to appear before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday.
The Defence of Zeljko Jukic, who is on trial for crimes in Prozor, will present material evidence on Thursday. On that same day the trials are due to continue in the case against Zoran Milic, who is charged with crimes in the Busovaca area, and Nihad Bojadzic for crimes in Jablanica.
The trial of Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember, who are charged with crimes in the Hadzici area, is due to continue on Thursday. On Friday, November 1, new State Prosecution witnesses are due to be examined at the trials of Vehid Subotic, who is charged with having ordered the murders in Dusina village, near Zenica, and Osman Brkan and Ibro Macic, who are charged with crimes in the Konjic area.
On that same day the trials are due to continue in the case against Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Hariz Habibovic, Kahro Vejzovic and Osman Gogic, who are charged with crimes in Kladanj, as well as Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian-Nicolae Vintila, who are indicted for crimes in Sarajevo.
