Week ahead: Trial for Kladanj Crimes Begins

The beginning of the trial is scheduled for Friday, July 26, when State Prosecutor Dragan Corlija will read the indictment and present his introductory statement.
These crimes are charged upon Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Hariz Habibovic, Kahro Vejzovic and Osman Gogic, former members of civil and military authorities and the Territorial Defence in Kladanj.
Muhic, Hamzic, Halilovic, Hodzic, Habibovic and Gogic are charged with having participated in the unlawful detention of Serb civilians and their inhumane treatment from May to the second half of July 1993. Mujcinovic and Busnov are charged with having failed to prevent or sanction the actions committed by their subordinates.
On Thursday Vehid Subotic, former member of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is due to enter his plea to the charges that he committed crimes in Dusina village, near Zenica. On that same day new Prosecution witnesses will be examined at the trial of Zoran Marinic and Zoran Milic, who are charged with crimes in Busovaca.
The trials of Edin Dzeko, who is charged with crimes in Trusina and Jablanica, and Predrag Milisavljevic, Milos Pantelic and Ljubomir Tasic, who are indicted for crimes against civilians from Visegrad, are due to continue on Tuesday, July 23.
One day later, on July 24, the trial is due to continue in the case against Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are charged with genocide in Srebrenica.
The trial for crimes against Croats in Trusina, near Konjic, is due to continue on Friday, July 26. The crimes committed in that village are charged upon Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Nihad Bojadzic and Zulfikar Alispago, former members of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
