The former members of the Tenth Reconnaissance Squad with the Main Headquarters of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, are charged with having shot a group of about 800 men at Branjevo, Zvornik municipality, on July 16, 1995.

Explaining the first instance verdict in June 2012, the Chamber said that the members of the Tenth Reconnaissance Squad participated in an attack on Srebrenica twice prior to the events on Branjevo military farm.

Under the first instance verdict, Kojic was sentenced to 43, Kos and Goronja to 40 years each and Golijan to 19 years in prison.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and the defence attorneys for the indictees filed appeals in February this year.
