Planincic et al: Custody for Three Indictees Terminated

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina terminates custody for Fikret Planincic, Rasim Lisancic and Sead Menzil, who are charged with crimes in Serdari village, near Kotor-Varos.

Prohibiting measures, including home detention and a ban on meeting with each other have been ordered against the indictees, who have been held in custody for nearly a year and a half.

“Police will check every day whether they respect the prohibiting measures ordered against them,” the Court announced.

According to the State Prosecution’s charges, Planincic, Lisancic and Menzil, former members of the Territorial Defence in Kotor-Varos, participated in an attack on Serdari village on September 17, 1992, when 16 Serb civilians were killed.

They are on trial along with Mirsad Vatrac, another former Territorial Defence member, who is still being held in custody.
