“The name of Fikret Planincic is mentioned in the list of members of the Reconnaissance Squad of the Territorial Defence in Kotor-Varos, while Sead Menzil, Squad Commander, Rasim Lisancic, background officer, and Mirsad Vatrac were members of the 55th Squad,” Prosecutor Dragan Corlija said, reading the list.

The Defence teams objected to relevance, authenticity and lawfulness of this document.

Also, the Prosecution presented, as material evidence, a request for confirmation of membership with the Territorial Defence of ABiH in Kotor-Varos dated May 28, 1996.

“By this piece of evidence I want to prove that the indictees were members of ABiH and that their status as members of TD was confirmed following the establishment of a commission, whose task was to make these lists. The document is authentic, because it has been obtained from the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Prosecutor Corlija said.

Witness Remzija Siljak was examined prior to the presentation of these documents. Siljak was Chief of the Reserve Units Section with the ABiH Command in Travnik in 1996, when these lists were made.

He said that an initiative was made to help soldiers’ families by preparing a list of members of ABiH units, including the Territorial Defence in Kotor-Varos, to which the indictees belonged.

As he said, chieftains from the units from Kotor-Varos were members of the commission, which made these lists.

Planincic, Lisancic, Menzil and Vatrac, former members of the Territorial Defence in Kotor-Varos, are charged with having participated in an attack on Serdari village on September 17, 1992, when 16 Serb civilians were killed.

The trial is due to continue on September 25.
