Halid Emkic, spokesperson of Brcko District police, said that it was suspected that the remains of six members of the Republika Srpska Army had been buried at those locations.

The exhumation is conducted as per an order issued by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Brcko District Prosecution.

Emkic mentioned that the search would continue at other localities in Brcko District in the coming days.

On this occasion the District Police invited citizens to inform police if they had information about war crimes or locations where the remains might have been buried.
