The Bosnian prosecution filed an indictment on Tuesday against Maksim Bozic, alias ‘Muhamed’, and Edin Hastor, alias ‘Amidza’, accusing them of preparing a terrorist attack that was prevented by the authorities.

The indictment alleges that Bozic and Hastor were members of a radical Salafi movement and that they acquired arms and explosive devices as part of a plan to carry out an attack in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“They planned and prepared an attack on the building of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, SIPA, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, MUP of Tuzla Canton, which would have seriously destabilised the political and constitutional structures and undermined the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region,” the indictment says.

The prosecution said that Bozic and Hastor were identified by prosecutors and SIPA police officers and arrested, which prevented them from carrying out the terrorist act.

It also said that during a search of the premises they used, several bombs and automatic weapons were found along with assault vests and military equipment.

“During the investigation, evidence was found about their illegal activities, aimed at preparing and conducting a terrorist act. They have been charged with procuring and preparing the means and undertaking other actions aimed at creating the conditions for the execution of a terrorist act,” the prosecution said.

The indictment has been filed to the Bosnian state court for confirmation.
