“Bubalo is charged with taking at least five Bosniak civilians from the Ljutocka valley who were detained in the IMT Tractor Service camp in Ripac and killing them in Hrgar, together with other members of the military police,” the indictment says.

The prosecution said that Bubalo was born in Croatia but has a Serbian passport as well as Bosnian citizenship.

Bosnian prosecutors did not immediately respond to BIRN’s question about whether Bubalo is in Bosnia or Serbia, which does not extradite war crimes suspects.

The indictment has been sent to the Bosnian court for confirmation.
