Closing Statements at Trusina Crimes Trial Next Week

More than four years since the beginning of the trial, next week the State Prosecution is due to present a closing statement at the trial of five former members of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, who are charged with murders committed in Trusina village, near Konjic.

On Monday, February 2 the Prosecution of BiH will present its closing statement at the trial of Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic and Nihad Bojadzic, who are charged with having participated in murders of Croats in Trusina village in 1993.

The Defence of Dragan Sekaric, who is charged with crimes committed in the Visegrad and Gorazde area in 1992, is due to present its closing statement on that same day, while the Defence of Josip Tolic, who is on trial for crimes in Bosanski Brod and Odzak, will do the same on Friday, February 6.

Zaim Lalicic, who is charged with crimes against civilians in Hrasnica, near Sarajevo, is due to enter his plea on Monday, while a plea hearing in the case against Radoman Fundup, who is charged with crimes in Foca, is scheduled for one day later.

A hearing at which prohibiting measures against Radosav Milovanovic, who is suspected of crimes in Srebrenica, will be discussed is scheduled for Monday. On that same day the trials are due to continue in the case against Goran Saric for genocide in Srebrenica, and Savo Tepic, Dragoslav Bojic, Dusko Vujicic, Dusko Maksimovic, Radojko Keverovic and Ilija Kurusic for crimes in Kotor-Varos.

On Tuesday, February 3 Ratko Dronjak is due to appear before the Appellate Chamber of the Court of BiH. The Constitutional Court previously quashed the verdict, under which he was sentenced for crimes in Drvar, due to wrong application of law.

On that same day the trials are due to continue in the case against Oliver Krsmanovic for crimes in Visegrad, Bosiljko and Ostoja Markovic for rape in Kotor-Varos, Muhamed Sisic, Emir Drakovac, Aziz Susa and Tarik Sisic for murders in Rogatica, as well as Edhem Godinjak, Medaris Saric and Mirko Bunoza for crimes in Trnovo.

The trial of Slavko Savic, former member of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, who is charged with having raped a Bosniak female in Vogosca in June 1993, is due to begin on Wednesday, February 4 with reading of the indictment, presentation of introductory statements and examination of the first witness.

The trials of Goran Popovic for crimes in Visegrad, Mitar and Rade Vlasenko and Drago Koncar, who are charged with murders in Kozarac, near Prijedor, as well as Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic for genocide in Srebrenica are due to continue on Wednesday.

The trial of Indira Kameric for crimes in Bosanski Brod continues on Thursday. A new State Prosecution witness is due to appear at the trial of Nikola Maric, who is charged with crimes in Prozor, on that same day.

The Defence of Dzevad Salcin, who is on trial, along with Nedzad Hodzic, for crimes committed on Igman, is due to examine its first witness on Thursday.

The trials of Ibro Macic, who is indicted for crimes in Konjic, Srecko Boskovic for crimes in Zvornik, as well as Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Zijad Hamzic, Nusret Muhic, Ramiz Halilovic, Osman Gogic, Nedzad Hodzic and Kahro Vejzovic, who are charged with crimes in Kladanj, are due to continue on Friday.

On that same day a pre-trial status conference is due to be held in the case against Jozo Djojic, who is charged with crimes in Odzak.
