The custody measure was ordered to Stevo, Milosav, Marijan i Slavko Jovanovic due to a suspicion that, while at liberty, they might influence witnesses and accomplices and destroy or hide evidence material.

The Jovanovics were arrested last week due to a suspicion that the committed crimes against the civilian population in Medosevici village in their capacity as members of the Third Podrinje Light Infantry Brigade of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS.

The Prosecution of BiH suspects Stevo and Milosav Jovanovic of having killed a Bosniak woman, aged more than 80, and then having set her house on fire on June 4, 1992. Besides that, Milosav, Marija and Slavko Jovanovic are suspected of having participated in the murder of five Bosniak civilians, including two children, at the beginning of June 1992.
