Mirsad Tahirovic Arrested

Bosnian police in Sarajevo on Thursday arrested former Bosnian Army soldier Mirsad Tahirovic, who is accused of taking part in crimes against Croat civilians and prisoners of war in Jablanica in 1993.

Prosecutors suspect Tahirovic, a former member of the Zulfikar detachment of the Bosnian Army, of taking part in the torture, abuse and humiliation of civilians and prisoners of war who were illegally detained in the Jablanica Museum and the Rogica Kuce neighbourhood.

After questioning Tahirovic, the prosecution will decide whether to file a custody motion.
