Radomir Markovic, Mile Kusic, Dragan Bozovic, Sasa Perkovic, Radomir Gluhovic, Pera Radovic and Ilija and Milos Vukasinovic, all former members of the Bosnian Serb Army’s Rogatica brigade, were charged on Monday with participating in an attack on Bosniaks in the villages of Karacici, Vragolovo and Golubovici near Rogatica in September 1992.

In the village of Karacici, they found 20 civilians, mainly women, children and elderly people who had hid in a garage and then killed them, according to the indictment, which has still to be confirmed.

“The defendants took the civilians towards a nearby barn by threatening them and hitting them with rifle butts. They killed the victims with automatic weapons at the site and after that started a fire which burned the victims’ bodies,” said the prosecution.

The remains of several of the victims were found at the site after the war, while others remain missing.
