The Prosecution charged Begovic with, that as a member of the Bosnian Serb forces, he committed crimes against prisoners of war and civilians who were detained in unhygienic conditions.

“Begovic caused great suffering to Bosniaks and violated their physical integrity and health,” said the Bosnian prosecution.

The unconfirmed indictment claims that prisoners were detained in conditions of terror by abuse, murders and inhumane conditions, without enough food, water and place to sleep.

“Begovic called them out and treated them roughly. He abused and beat them and forced them to take part in degrading sexual acts, which left consequences on their physical and mental wellbeing,” said the Bosnian prosecution.

The indictment has been sent to the Bosnian court for confirmation.
