Alija Osmic Released Conditionally

Alija Osmic, who was sentenced to three years in prison for having committed crimes against prisoners of war in Bugojno in 1993 and 1994, has been released conditionally.

“The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has received a notification from the Penal and Correctional Facility in Busovaca, saying that Osmic was released conditionally on April 28, 2014,” the Court announced.

The three-year sentence against Osmic expires on October 7.

Osmic was sentenced for the physical and mental abuse of detained members of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, who were detained in a garage in Donjici village, the Marxist Centre and the “BH Banka” premises.
