Verdict for Crimes in Carakovo Village Due Next Week

Babic and Djuric, who were allegedly accompanied by other persons and acted as per an order issued by Soldat, are charged with having taken men from their houses, then taken them to a local mosque and shot them in front of the mosque on July 23, 1992. The pronouncement of the verdict is scheduled for Thursday, March 27.
On that same day the trial is due to begin in the case against Marinko and Zoran Bjelica, as well as Novica Tripkovic, who are charged with having killed and tortured Bosniak civilians in Kalinovik.
The trial of Dragan Sekaric, who is charged with having committed murders, torture, rape and other crimes in Gorazde and Visegrad, is due to begin on Monday, March 24.Sekaric, former member of the Territorial Defence and “Osvetnik” paramilitary formation, allegedly committed those crimes during 1992 and 1993.
Appeals against a verdict, under which Predrag Prosic was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for having committed unlawful detention of civilians in Sanski Most, are due to be presented before the Appellate Chamber of the Court of BiH on Thursday. On that same day Novak Djukic is due to appear before the Appellate Chamber. The verdict against Djukic, under which he was sentenced for crimes at Tuzlanska Kapija, was quashed due to the wrong application of the law.
The Defence of Milun Kornjaca, who is charged with the persecution, torture, unlawful detention and murder of Bosniaks in the Cajnice area, is due to present its closing statement on Wednesday, March 26.On that same day the first witness is due to testify in defence of Branko Vlaco, who is charged with crimes in Vogosca before the Court of BiH.
A plea hearing in the case against Fahrudin Alic, who is charged with crimes committed in former “Viktor Bubanj” military barracks in Sarajevo, is scheduled for Monday. Alic was not available to judicial bodies, when the indictment against him was filed.
Indictee Marina Grubisic-Fejzic is due to testify in her defence at the trial for crimes in Dretelj, which is scheduled to continue on Tuesday, March 25. She is on trial along with Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic and Ivan Medic.
The continuation of the trial of Mensur Memic, Nihad Bojadzic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic and Zulfikar Alispago, who are charged with crimes in the Konjic area, is scheduled for Monday. The trial of Goran Saric for genocide in Srebrenica is due to continue on that same day.
Two more trials for genocide in Srebrenica are due to continue next week. The trial of Aleksandar Cvetkovic continues on Tuesday, while the trial of Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic continues on Wednesday.
The continuation of the trial of Vitomir Rackovic, who is charged with crimes in the Visegrad area, is scheduled for Wednesday.
On Thursday the trials are due to continue in the case against Nihad Bojadzic for crimes in Jablanica, Indira Kameric for crimes in Bosanski Brod, as well as Nedzad Hodzic and Dzevad Salcin, who are charged with crimes in the Hadzici area.
On that same day new witnesses are due to be examined at the trial for crimes in the Hadzici area, which are charged upon Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember.
The trial of Ibro Macic, who is charged with the torture and sexual abuse of detainees in Konjic, continues on Friday, just like the trial of Vehid Subotic, who is charged with crimes in Zenica, and Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian Nicolae Vintila for crimes in Sarajevo.
The trial for crimes in the Kladanj area, which are charged upon Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Hariz Habibovic, Kahro Vejzovic and Osman Gogic, is due to continue on Friday.
The retrials of Drazen Mikulic, who is charged with crimes in Dretelj detention camp, and Mehura Selimovic, Adil Ruznic and Emir Mustafic for crimes in Krajina are due to continue next week.
