The seven suspects were arrested in the Banja Luka and Kotor-Varos area as per a warrant issued by the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Prosecution suspects them of having participated, as police officers and managers, in the eviction of Bosniaks and Croats from their homes in the Kotor-Varos area and its surroundings from May to the end of 1992.

As indicated in the Prosecution’s announcement, by undertaking those actions they persecuted about one hundred persons.

“After having been evicted, the victims were unlawfully detained, tortured and abused in various ways. Several died due to consequences of torture, beating and abuse,” the announcement said.

After the suspects have been examined, the Prosecution will decide whether to file custody order motions for them or not.

BIRN has learned unofficially that the suspects are named as Savo Tepic, Dragutin Bojic, Dusko Vujicic, Rajko Skoric, Dusko Maksimovic, Radenko Kaverovic and Ilija Kurusic.
