Cvetkovic Enters his Plea Next Week

Aleksandar Cvetkovic, who is charged with genocide in Srebrenica, is due to enter his plea before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina next week.

Cvetkovic, former member of the Tenth Reconnaissance Squad with the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, who was extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina from Israel, is due to enter his plea on Thursday, October 10.

On that same day Zoran Marinic, who is on trial, along with Zoran Milic, for crimes in Busovaca in 1993, is due to testify in his defence before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  

Closing statements at the retrial of Nisvet Gasal, Musajb Kukavica and Senad Dautovic, who are charged with crimes in Bugojno, are due to be presented next week. The statements were originally due to be presented on October 2, but the hearing was postponed for a week, because the Prosecution changed the indictment. The presentation of closing statements is due to begin on Wednesday, October 9.

First Defence witnesses are due to testify at the trial of Dragomir Soldat, Velemir Djuric and Zoran Babic, who are charged with murders in Carakovo village, near Prijedor, on Monday, October 7.

One day later new witnesses will be examined at the trials of Edin Dzeko, who is charged with crimes in Trusina and Jablanica, and Predrag Milisavljevic, Milos Pantelic and Ljubomir Tasic, who are charged with crimes in Visegrad.     

On Tuesday the trials are due to continue in the case against Najdan Mladjenovic and Savo Zivkovic, who are charged with crimes in Bratunac, and Fikret Planincic, Sead Menzil, Rasim Lisancic and Mirsad Vatrac, who are on trial for committing murders in Kotor-Varos.

On Wednesday, October 9 the trials are due to continue in the case against Veselko and Ivo Raguz, who are charged with crimes in Stolac and Capljina, and Branko Vlaco, who is indicted for crimes in Vogosca. On that same day the presentation of evidence is due to continue at the trials of Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are charged with genocide in Srebrenica, and Zoran Dragicevic for crimes in Sarajevo.  

The trial of Mustafa Djelilovic, Nermin Kalember, Serif Mesanovic, Nezir Kazic, Halid Covic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic and Becir Hujic for crimes in Hadzici continues on Thursday. On that same day a new protected State Prosecution witness will be examined at the trial of Nihad Bojadzic, who is charged with crimes in Jablanica.

The trial for crimes in Kladanj, which are charged upon Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Hariz Habibovic, Osman Gogic and Kahro Vejzovic, is due to continue on the last working day of next week.  

On Friday new witnesses are due to be examined at the trials of Vehid Subotic, who is charged with crimes in the Zenica area, and Ramiz Avdovic and Iullian Nicolae Vintila, who are indicted for crimes in Sarajevo.

The retrials of Marko Adamovic and Bosko Lukic for crimes in Kljuc, as well as Milan Peric, Spasoje Doder, Predrag Terzic and Aleksandar Cerovina, who are charged with crimes in Kalinovik, are due to continue in the week ahead.
