Verdict for Cajnice Crimes Due on Friday

In the coming week the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is due to pronounce a verdict against Milorad Zivkovic and Dusko Tadic, who are charged with crimes in Cajnice in 1992.

The verdict against Zivkovic, former Chief of the Public Safety Station, and Tadic, former member of “Plavi orlovi” (“Blue Eagles”) paramilitary unit, is due to be pronounced on Friday, April 12.

They are charged with having persecuted the Bosniak population by committing murders, arrests and unlawful detention.

The retrial of Milan Peric, Spasoje Doder, Aleksandar Cerovina and Predrag Terzic, who are indicted for unlawful arrests of civilians in Kalinovik, begins on April 12 as well. The first instance verdict, under which the four indictees were acquitted of all charges, was revoked and a retrial ordered.

On Monday, April 8 the Prosecution is due to present its closings statement at the retrial of Gojko Klickovic and Mladen Drljaca for crimes in Bosanska Krupa.

On Thursday, April 11 the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina will examine its last witnesses at the trial of Zeljko Jukic, who is charged with crimes in Prozor.

On Tuesday, April 9 first witnesses are due to testify in defence of Mirsad Vatrac, who is on trial, along with Fikret Planincic, Rasim Lisancic and Sead Menzil, for crimes in Kotor-Varos.

The trial of Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Nihad Bojadzic and Zulfikar Alispago, who are charged with crimes in Trusina village, near Konjic, as well as the trial of Goran Saric, who is indicted for crimes in Sarajevo, are due to continue on Monday.

One day later new witnesses are due to testify at the trials of Edin Dzeko, who is charged with crimes in Jablanica and Trusina, Najdan Mladjenovic and Savo Zivkovic, who are indicted for crimes in Bratunac, and Predrag Milisavljevic, Ljubomir Tasic and Milos Pantelic, who are charged with crimes in Visegrad.

On Tuesday the trial is due to continue in the case against Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic, who are charged with crimes in Dretelj detention camp, near Capljina.

The trial of Zoran Dragicevic, who is indicted for crimes in Grbavica, Vraca and Kovacici neighbourhoods, Sarajevo, is due to continueon Wednesday, April 10, when the Prosecution will continue presenting evidence against Zemir Kovacevic, who is charged with crimes in Bosanski Brod.

On that same day the trials are due to continue in the case of Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are charged with genocide in Srebrenica, and Branko Vlaco, who is indicted for crimes in Vogosca.

Defence witnesses of Veselko and Ivo Raguz, who are charged with crimes in Stolac and Capljina, are due to be examined on Wednesday. One day later the trial is due to continue for crimes in Hadzici municipality, which are charged upon Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic, Becir Hujic and Nermin Kalember.

On Friday the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina will examine a new witness at the trial of Dragomir Soldat, Velemir Djuric and Zoran Babic, who are charged with shooting of men in Carakovo village, near Prijedor.
Zoran Marinic and Zoran Milic, who are charged with crimes in Busovaca, as well as Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian-Nicolae Vintila, who are on trial for crimes against detainees in the former “Viktor Bubanj” military barracks in Sarajevo, are due to appear in court on that same day.

The retrials of Zeljko Ivanovic, as well as Momir Pelemis, who are both charged with crimes in Srebrenica, and Marko Adamovic and Bosko Lukic, who are charged with crimes in Kljuc, as well as Nisvet Gasal, Musajb Kukavica and Senad Dautovic for crimes in Bugojno are scheduled to continue in the week ahead.
